The Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg cuvée Sainte Catherine from the Weinbach wine estate is a wine made from the oldest vines of the Grand Cru located mid-slope. This parcel is always harvested in November, as the grapes are not perfectly ripe before then. This is without doubt one of Alsace's greatest Rieslings.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg Sainte Catherine is up there with the greatest wines of France, and can easily be described as one of the greatest Rieslings in the world. Its granitic, sandy terroir produces a wine that is rich, full-bodied and powerful, yet delicate.

The nose is highly complex, revealing hints of candied lemon, grapefruit, mineral notes, white flowers and exotic touches.

The palate is rich, with spectacular fullness and smoothness. This Riesling truly envelops the palate, giving an uncommon sensation of crystalline freshness. It's a pleasure to rediscover the aromas of the nose, complemented by notes of marzipan and hawthorn. A great French wine, and one of Alsace's finest.
