Jean-Claude Buecher 's Crémant Empreinte Brut Nature is a pure Chardonnay from the renowned Grand Cru Hengst in Wettolsheim, in particular the Rotenberg vineyard. The vines are trained to moderate yields in order to obtain healthy, concentrated grapes. This Crémant d'Alsace is made from the 2023 harvest, blended in part with reserve wines. Hand harvesting and a first natural fermentation precede foaming and ageing on laths for 36 months. During this precious period of rest, the wine's texture is refined and it develops a remarkable aromatic complexity. The Brut Nature dosage, traditional at Domaine Jean Claude Buecher, allows the wine's natural tension to express itself unabashedly.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : As soon as he took over his father's wine estate in 2015, Franck Buecher affirmed his intention to produce precise, pure Crémant d'Alsace cuvées, guided by the quality of the grapes and the right balance. After several vintages, the gamble has paid off!
On the nose, this Crémant Empreinte reveals a generous, lively profile, with notes of candied citrus, vineyard peach and hints of pastry.
On the palate, the fine, regular effervescence carries an ample body with good volume. The freshness of well-integrated acidity enhances the gourmet flavors of warm brioche and citrus fruit, with a sensation of clarity that prolongs the aromas. The savory texture lingers long on a finish of renewed freshness.
