The Côte de Brouilly of the Alex Foillard domain is from vines of Gamay in the municipality of Quindi-en-Beaujolais and more particularly at the said place Chavanne. The terroir is composed of different types of soil depending on where one is located in the plot. We can find some sand shale and granite. For this cuvée, Alex Foillard chose to breed a small barrel farm of about 1⁄3 of the whole in order to bring depth and more concentration than on the Beaujolais Village. Its exposure to the North allows it to maintain a beautiful acidity throughout the period of maturation.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The cuvée Côte de Brouilly developed by Alex Foillard is a fry bombt, it is a wine that displays a profile while gourmet. A Gamay like you like them. Alex Foillard takes over the winemaking in beaujolais classic by making a relatively short carbon maceration. This method makes it possible to obtain a very fiand which makes a very beautiful fresh.

The nose develops intense notes of acidic fruits, also hints of blackcurrant. A hint of Sichuan pepper characteristic of Côte de Brouilly.

The mouth is round, greedy and very juicy as I expected. The surprise comes rather from the aromatic depth and the length in the mouth. This one is really remarkable for a wine from this range there. Already beautiful in youth.
