Chantal Lescure's Pommard Les Vaumuriens is a prestigious Côte de Beaune wine made by François Chaveriat. Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Vaumuriens terroir is legendary for its mineral-rich soils of brown limestone and white marl. The vines face ideally north/north-east, giving Pommard Les Vaumuriens a unique personality. The vines of Domaine Chantal Lescure, averaging 50 years of age, draw the quintessence of this terroir and are enhanced by the cellar work of François Chaveriat.

On the nose, Pommard Les Vaumuriens reveals a complex bouquet of aromas. Notes of black cherry, raspberry and plum are subtly enhanced by floral and spicy accents. The imprint of terroir is evident in delicate minerality and hints of undergrowth.

On the palate, this wine offers a seductive experience of structure and balance. Flavors of ripe red fruit mingle with notes of leather, licorice and tobacco. The firm but well-integrated tannins impart a velvety texture and impressive length on the palate.
