Domaine Moreau-Naudet 's Petit Chablis comes from a limestone plateau in the upper Chablis region, where Chardonnay flourishes on stony soils combining limestone and Kimmeridgian marl. Domaine Moreau Naudet, founded by Stéphane Moreau and today run by his wife Virginie with the same exacting standards, cultivates a parcel of around 3 hectares for this cuvée, featuring Chardonnay vines aged between 25 and 50 years. The soil is carefully tilled, without weedkillers or chemical fertilizers. After hand harvesting and gentle, slow pressing, fermentation is carried out with the indigenous yeasts present on the grapes. Ageing on fine lees takes place exclusively in vats for this cuvée, for around 18 months. This sober approach aims to preserve the freshness and mineral purity of Petit Chablis.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Domaine Moreau Naudet 's Petit Chablis stands out for its clean, accessible expression right from its youth. The precision of the fruit and the airy minerality of its profile reflect the respectful work of the terroir carried out at the wine estate. This is a wine of balance and pleasure, whose apparent simplicity conceals a great precision of execution faithful to Stéphane Moreau's philosophy.

The nose opens freshly with airy floral notes of acacia flower, lime blossom and jasmine. Juicy citrus fruit and crisp green apple give the bouquet an impression of freshness made particularly appetizing by a hint of iodine.

On the palate, the wine unfurls with lightness and vivacity over a saline framework with flavors of lime zest, white flowers and crunchy fruit. Minerality emerges without rigidity, supported by constant tension. The chalky persistence with iodine accents prolongs the finish with a sensation of vibrant freshness.
