Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : With La Chanière, Catherine and Claude Maréchal have produced a racy, well-structured Pommard 1er Cru that will stand the test of time. The wine, still a little reserved in its youth, already reveals a real depth and complexity that will assert itself with age.

The nose opens with restraint on intense black fruits, between black cherry and blackcurrant, enhanced by spicy notes and a darker, almost animal touch. With aeration, the wine gains in fullness and complexity, revealing an earthy, racy expression.

On the palate, the dense, juicy texture unfurls concentrated black fruit flavors and a pronounced spiciness. The tannins, still firm, structure the whole with seriousness and depth. The slightly peaty finish prolongs the tasting with an aromatic richness that promises ageing potential.
