Cuvée Enchevêtrer from Champagne Léon is a remarkable wine, embodying Clément Robert 's philosophy of reflecting the characteristics of his terroir as closely as possible. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir from two historic parcels, La Chevêtrée and La Grande Côte in Landreville, this Blanc de Noirs captures the mineral power and elegance of the limestone-clay soil of the Côte des Bar.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The exposure of the plots, combined with meticulous winemaking, enable this cuvée to capture the nuances of the terroir. Clément Robert, committed to natural winemaking, has adopted a minimalist approach that favors the pure expression of fruit. After natural fermentation in oak barrels, the two parcels are vinified separately and then blended together. Ageing in wood is an essential part of this cuvée, giving the wine a mellow texture and an elegant aromatic patina.

On the nose, the wine reveals a rich aromatic complexity with notes of ripe red fruits such as raspberry and morello cherry, mingled with subtle touches of dried fruit, toast and a hint of cedar wood. There's also a light floral touch of dried rose and spicy aromas of white pepper and cardamom.

On the palate, Enchevêtrer is full-bodied and refined, with a lively, precise attack. The texture is silky, balanced by perfectly integrated acidity that gives it freshness and dynamism. Juicy red fruit flavors, in harmony with light woody and spicy notes, create a layered and harmonious palate.
