Wine Description

Domaine André et Mireille Tissot 'sArbois Chardonnay Rose Massale is the product of a rosé-skinned Chardonnay grape variety, planted by massal selection in the heart of the Jura, on a one-hectare clay-limestone plot of vines carefully worked biodynamically. Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot make the most of this rare mutation: the white juice obtained from a rosé grape is aged for around 12 months in foudres, with a small proportion of new barrels, to preserve brightness and vitality without excess wood. This method reflects the wine estate's philosophy: respect for terroir, purity of fruit and the natural elegance of Jura Chardonnay.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Rose Massale cuvée surprises with its balance between generosity and freshness. It combines the natural structure of Chardonnay with a subtle density, while retaining a beautiful fluidity. Its refined personality and energy make this wine a Jura revelation. A true variation of Chardonnay in its rarest mutation, this cuvée embodies the style of Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot: free, sincere wines rooted in their terroir, and capable of surprising with their authenticity and energy.

The aromatic profile is broad and opulent, with a harmonious blend of fruit and freshness. The first nose is dominated by scents of fresh rose and jasmine, acacia and peach blossom, and white orchard fruit - juicy pear and peach, melting apple... On aeration, an exotic aniseed nuance reminiscent of lychee skin adds depth to this expressive, well-balanced bouquet.

The palate is full-bodied, carried by an invigorating, acidic structure. The texture is elegant, the ripeness of the fruit balanced by a finely chalky tension that supports the wine without heaviness. White fruit flavors mingle with a delicate nuance of toasted brioche. The finish lingers delicately, with a persistent aromatic impression of flowers, almonds and gentle salinity.
