Wine Description

Domaine de la Sarazinière'sMâcon-Serrières Rougecuvée "La Pépie" is a veritable nugget of Mâconnais terroir. La Pépie comes from carefully selected plots in Serrières, where the Gamay vines, planted on clay-limestone soils, benefit from optimum exposure and ideal conditions to produce a wine with an authentic, gourmet character.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The grapes for this cuvée are hand-picked to preserve their purity and freshness. Winemaking is carried out with the utmost care, in small vats to control temperatures and ensure delicate extraction of aromas and tannins. Ageing in oak barrels for 12 months completes the profile of this wine, bringing structure and elegance without masking the fruit.

On the nose, the wine reveals a beautiful aromatic complexity, with hints of blueberry, blackcurrant, redcurrant and lightly spicy, smoky notes. A very pure, fruity expression that's extremely pleasing.

The palate is fresh, bright and well-balanced. We rediscover the gourmet notes of the nose, a beautiful substance without any tannins, which makes the wine extremely digestible and elegant. A wine of great class!
