Wine Description

Domaine de la Sarazinière's Mâcon-Bussières Rouge Les Devants cuvée is grown on clay-limestone soils typical of the Bussière region, giving the wine an elegant minerality and unique aromatic complexity. The plots are located on the hillside, benefiting from ideal exposure for Pinot Noir ripening.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Sarazinière wine estate attaches great importance to cultivation methods that emphasize respect for the vine and its environment. The grapes are carefully harvested and then sorted to retain only the finest fruit. Precise, low-intervention winemaking preserves the integrity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir. For ageing, the Les Devants cuvée is matured in oak barrels, with a meticulous choice of wood that brings subtle balance without overpowering the wine's natural character.

On the nose, this Mâcon-Bussières reveals delicate aromas of red berries, such as cherry and raspberry, with hints of licorice and a subtle touch of sweet spices. Accents of undergrowth and leather add intriguing depth, promising a multi-faceted wine.

On the palate, the attack is silky, revealing a fine structure, supported by fresh acidity that balances the richness of the fruit. The fine, mellow tannins provide an elegant texture and long-lasting aroma, with hints of redcurrant and blackberry, accompanied by mineral touches typical of the limestone soil.
