Wine Description

Fleur de l'Europe from Champagne Fleury is a remarkable cuvée made from a blend of 85% Pinot Noir and 15% Chardonnay. This cuvée is one of the rarest produced by the wine estate, with only 5000 bottles produced each year. The other distinctive feature of the Fleur de l'Europe cuvée is its expressive, sparkling character, thanks to the absence of dosage. A true champagne for purists and lovers of bright champagne.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Fleur de l'Europe cuvée is one of Maison Fleury's must-haves. The grapes come from vines averaging 25 years old on the Côte des Bar, and are vinified in oak barrels and vats to bring vivacity and a gourmet touch to the whole. We immediately feel the imprint of the terroir, thanks to a fabulous biodynamic approach.

On the nose, the wine develops sumptuous aromas of Williams pear and baked apple. Nice hints of star anise, almond and toasted hazelnut come through after very light aeration .

The palate is full, rich and remarkably voluminous. This fruity expression and its citrus notes are counterbalanced by the mineral freshness typical of this cuvée. The palate finishes with chalky notes and a touch of toast.
