Wine Description

Cuvée Jupiter from the Hameau Toucheboeuf wine estate is an atypical cuvée made from the maceration of Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne , complemented by a touch of Cugnette, an indigenous grape variety. It's an orange wine, a reference to the solar system's largest planet, Jupiter. Simon Gastrein let the grapes macerate to give them an intense orange hue, without any bitterness.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This orange wine produced by Simon Gastrein of the Hameau Toucheboeuf wine estate is a superb initiation for wine lovers wishing to discover orange wines. The cuvée Jupiter is in fact the same base as the cuvée L'Effrontée, with a longer maceration of the grapes.

On the nose, the wine offers a highly interesting aromatic diversity, with notes of dried apricot, flower honey and caramel apple, as well as pretty herbaceous touches that bring freshness to the whole.

The palate is full-bodied, with light tannins that add depth to the wine. The complexity of the nose is mirrored on the palate, with lovely notes of bitter orange that give the wine freshness and balance.
