Wine Description
The A Table rosé from the Mas del Périé wine estate is a far cry from the stereotypical rosés of southern France. It boasts an intense dark pink color that makes it very curious at first glance. This color comes from the blending of three local grape varieties widely used in the production of red wines. These are Malbec, Merlot and Tannat. Malbec, of course, accounts for the vast majority of the blend.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The "A Table" rosé is one of my favorite rosés, combining aromatic complexity, drinkability and deliciousness. Ideal with grilled meats, fine charcuterie and salads of all kinds. What's more, it's a totally sulfur-free wine, so there's no headache even if you overuse it a little. And I can tell you that once you've tasted Fabien Jouves' A Table rosé, you'll never want to drink another rosé! It's fabulous and still very affordable.
On the nose, the wine opens with magnificent notes of raspberry, dried rose, touches of timut pepper, grapefruit and redcurrant. There are even hints of garrigue, adding depth to the wine.
The palate is fine, delicate and incredibly fresh. It's a real feat when you know the Cahors area and the complexity of achieving a balanced wine. We discover a farandole of red fruit notes, a beautiful vibrant acidity and a minerality on the finish that makes you want to "A Table"!
