Long description
The Mas del Périé wine estate is run by Fabien Jouves, who comes from a family of peasant winemakers in the Causse commune. The adventure began for Fabien in 2006, when he took over the vineyards on the high slopes of Cahors , close to the Quercy hills. Here, he produces Cahors in the purest respect for his terroir, using techniques that are both modern and ancestral.
He has chosen to use biodynamic methods to produce authentic, high-quality Cahors. Malbec wines are made plot by plot, to express every facet of the Cahors terroir . This grape variety is the king of the Cahors appellation.
Above all, Fabien Jouves strives for balance in his wines, bright fruitiness and terroir typicity. He has refined his style over the years, and now offers a fresh, precise approach to his wines. The different cuvées he creates as he goes along never cease to surprise us with their strong identities.
At the Mas del Périé wine estate, each cuvée is more attractive than the next. We'd like to offer you what we consider to be the most accomplished wines in the range, namely the Négoce cuvées You Fuck my Wine and Haute Côt de Fruit, as well as the cuvée Les Escures , the wine estate's first Cahors, wines that are greedy and precise. The cuvée Les Acacias is the most representative of the wine estate's style and, above all, the most balanced when young. The rare cuvée BLOC B763, formerly known as La Pièce, is one of the wine estate's finest parcels. And how could we forget the new cuvée Rays, certainly the greatest Cahors of all time...
The whites are not to be forgotten, as they are becoming more and more interesting, like the Vin de France Les Agudes, a natural white wine made from a blend of Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon.
A wine estate not to be missed in the South West of France.
