Wine Description

Domaine Monier Perréol 's Saint-Joseph Les Serves comes from a parcel-by-parcel selection of Syrah vines growing on granitic terroirs typical of the northern Rhône Valley.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Saint-Joseph Les Serves from the Monier Perréol wine estate reveals the finest aspects of its appellation through its Syrah of rare depth. This wine combines concentration, finesse and complexity with extraordinary elegance. This cuvée is on a par with the Domaine Gonon wines, but in a more powerful and racy style.

On the nose, notes of blackcurrant, blueberry, sloe berry and red pepper emerge from the glass with impressive concentration, and, after generous oxygenation, link up with beautiful menthol notes.

The palate is full-bodied and absolutely delicious. The silky tannins coat the palate with luscious flavors of black berries, fresh coffee and cedar. The finish lingers on peppery notes with wild energy.
