Wine Description
The rully 1er raw Preaux evokes the presence of a water point in a meadow. This brings the wine natural irrigation and therefore no water stress. The vines present on this climate are more than 45 years old and are now rooted in the deepest of the terroir. It's a big black pinot with great finesse and rare elegance on rully. It has no difficulty competing with the finest wines of the Coast Beaune and remains extremely reasonable in prices.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : One Rully 1er grand class cru, truly one of the most beautiful i've been able to taste for a long time. The fineness of this wine reminds me of the most beautiful Chambolle Musigny or some Nuits Saint Georges. The structure is imposing without being excessive and the bouquet is complex and subtle. A precise wine that has great potential for guarding. If you wish to taste the wine in your youth, do not hesitate to open it in advance without carafage. Otherwise opt for the Rully the chaponnière more accessible but less deep.
The nose remains discreet but is very majestic. The fact that the wine is oxygenated brings it still aromatic intensity. We stay on some classic notes for the Bourgogne (black cherry, blackberries, wild berries) with a hint of spices.
The mouth is more expressive than the nose, the mouth touch is superb, very delicate. A feeling of freshness thanks to a beautiful acidity and a touch of minerality makes me salivate. It is clearly a meal wine to wait a few more years. A terroir of good custody potential. 5 to 6 years of cellar will allow him to get the perfect balance.
