A real UFO in the appellation, Sylvain Pataille 's Marsannay rosé Fleur de Pinot is made from old Pinot Noir vines grown on the renowned terroir of La Charme aux Prêtres, whose limestone soils imbue the wine with extraordinary vivacity and complexity.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: Sylvain Pataille 's Marsannay rosé Fleur de Pinot is a pure marvel, vinified as a white to reveal an unsuspected facet of Burgundy Pinot Noir. A pinnacle of complexity and structure, and a rarity in Burgundy winegrowing, designed for ageing!

The nose opens with a palette as impressive as it is nuanced, between fresh red berries, strawberry yoghurt, delicate white flowers and freshly ground white pepper.

The palate reveals a suave, enveloping texture, whose silky chewiness is reminiscent of a grand rouge de garde, while the saline tension typical of Marsannay recalls the great whites of Pataille. Milky, floral flavors coat the palate, while lingering red fruit and hints of bitter cherry enliven the finish.
