Wine Description

Domaine Thierry and Pascale Matrot 's Bourgogne Pinot Noir embodies a refined, elegant approach to Burgundy's king of grapes. Produced from a selection of vines located on the heights of Meursault and Puligny, this Pinot Noir flourishes on the clay-limestone soils typical of the Côte de Beaune.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: This Pinot Noir from Domaine Matrot is a fine lesson in balance: accessible, sincere, it's a wine with a juicy structure, carried by silky tannins and perfectly integrated acidity. A cuvée of the highest level, demonstrating the seriousness and consistency of Domaine Matrot's work, even with its regional cuvées.

The nose opens with seductive aromas of fresh red fruit, accompanied by subtle touches of white pepper and rosewood. A classic expression, without exuberance, but precise and engaging.

The palate is full of fine gourmandise, with redcurrants and wild strawberries. The crisp attack leads to a light body structured by fine, supple tannins. Freshness extends the aromas of red berries right through to the finish. A digestible, fluid wine with exemplary drinkability.
