Domaine de la Sarazinière is a family-run wine estate founded in 1920 and located in the Mâconnais region, more specifically in Bussières. The 10-hectare estate was taken over by Philippe Trebignaud in 1990 , and his son Guillaume Trebignaud joined him in 2017.

Sarazinière is the name of a small river and the surrounding lieux-dits where the wine estate was created in the early 20th century.

The first vines were planted in 1926 by Philippe's uncle, Claude Seigneuret. The wine estate producesred and whitewines in the Mâcon appellation , as well as Bourgogne aligoté. In the vineyards, work is meticulous and rigorous, respecting the terroirs.

Bussières' Chardonnay and Gamay grapes benefit from a deep clay-limestone terroir, which gives the wines a rich, full-bodied texture. The Gamays develop a very Burgundian character.

Domaine de la Sarazinière is in the process of converting to organic farming , and the soil is worked to preserve the natural fermentation potential inherent in the terroir. The working principle is not to influence the winemaking process by adding any artificial additives, while respecting the terroir: no yeast, enzymes or other additives that could alter the natural fermentation process.

Winemaking is carried out in stainless steel vats or oak barrels. Ageing is determined by the vintage, and can last from 10 to 12 months, with bottling without fining or filtration.

Favorite cuvées include Mâcon Bussières Claude Seigneuret, Pouilly Fuissé 1er cru Les Cras and Pouilly Fuissé VII. A small, little-known Mâconnais wine estate producing soulful wines at affordable prices.
