Ampeleia Magnum Bianco di Ampeleia 2018 | Tuscany

The cuvée Bianco di Ampeleai is one Trebbiano produced by Elisabetta Foradori, an icon in the production of wines of Tuscany quality. It is supplemented by a suspicion of Misguided and Ansonica, two local grape varieties. All the vines are grown in organic farming and grapes vinified in cement vats for 6 months. The wine does not undergo filtration and contains very few sulphites.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The white cuvée of the domain Ampeleai is a superb wine atypical style and very slightly oxidative. A 7-day maceration in concrete vats has made it possible to extract very noble floral and plant notes that bring a lot of depth to the wine. The land composed of clays and limestone brings when it has the freshness and the overall balance.

On the nose, the wine opens up with perfumes of gingerbread, fresh grapes, a touch of fresh nuts and a hint of pineapple. It is a wine of a troubled appearance but remarkable olfactory sharpness.

In the palate, we discover a wine with fine flesh, with aromas of green apples, pear. There are exotic notes of pineapple and a touch of almond powder. Another beautiful interpretation of the terroir by Elisabetta Foradori.
