Régnié from the Antoine Sunier wine estate is one of the estate's benchmarks. The result of meticulous ageing , with 50% in Burgundy barrels and 50% in epoxy concrete vats, this wine rests for 7 months on fine lees without any input. Meticulous blending of different parcels, light sulfiting before bottling and an unfiltered, unfined wine complete the creative process. Organic farming, soil cultivation and high vine density drastically reduce yields. Quality will always take precedence over quantity at the Antoine Sunier wine estate.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Antoine Sunier's Régnié is a racy, fleshy wine of great complexity. The vines, over 45 years old, are rooted in the exceptional terroir of Les Forchets and Les Perrats, facing south at an altitude of 350 meters. The soil, 90% weathered granite and 10% ancient alluvium , gives this wine a unique identity.
From the very first nose, it captivates with its intense, complex bouquet of delicate wild strawberry fragrances, spicy white pepper, subtle cedar and deep black fruit.
On the palate, it is majestic, with a remarkable amplitude that envelops the palate, a refreshing vivacity that awakens the taste buds and a perfect harmony between fruity flavors and herbaceous notes.
