The Mâcon Cruzille Clos des Avoueries Calcaire du Château de Messey is the parcel located most south of the fence which is composed almost exclusively of a compact limestone slab with only 10 cm of red clay on the surface. It is the most mineral and crystalline cuvée in the estate, a wine of great purity!

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Cuvée Calcaire du Clos des Avoueries is the wine which has the most vivacity and tension of all the wines of the domain. It has a profile in a purely mineral spirit structured by a farm perfectly controlled by the Château de Messey. The added sulphur doses are still very low.

In the nose, the wine shows a large fineness and is very elegant. We discover pleasant notes of white flowers, touches of clementine, bergamot. Also an intense mineral expression on notes of flint, rock water, pencil mines.

The mouth is incredible freshness, we find directly intense touches of minerality. The wine increases in power as the tasting goes on and reveals hints of liquorice and smoky notes. The finish is very fine and has a beautiful salinity that makes you want to go back.
