Charmes Chambertin from the Antoine Lienhardt wine estate is an exceptional Grand Cru produced in tiny numbers. The vines on this terroir were planted in 1946 and lie exactly opposite the border between Latricières Chambertin and the famous Chambertin. Its singular geology of Bathonian marl and Jurassic limestone produces a wine of unique finesse and generosity.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Antoine Lienhardt is one of my favorite winemakers in Burgundy. For me, he's one of the very few who know how to perfectly transcribe the identity of his terroir while respecting the typicity of Pinot Noir. He has chosen to vinify this Charmes Chambertin from a whole-bunch harvest (70%), using only 50% new oak. Ageing lasts around 12 months, with a choice of exceptional barrels.

On the nose, the wine is extraordinarily deep and elegant. One senses the emerging complexity of this grand cru, still in its youth. It reveals magnificent notes of black fruit, hints of spice and empyreumatic notes.

On the palate, the wine is charming, fresh and reveals a uniquely delicate touch. An exceptional terroir that needs time to reveal all the facets of its personality.
