The Rully 1er cru Meix Cadot from Domaine Dureuil Janthial is an extremely rare wine, as the vines cover an area of just 44 ares. They were planted by Vincent's grandfather in 1920. At the time, he had the flair to see the potential of this parcel of Les Meix Cadot. Today , Vincent Dureuil strives to honor his grandfather by producing one of Burgundy's finest white Rully wines.
Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Meix Cadot cuvée is a white Rully parcel that produces a rich, full-bodied, intense wine of great complexity if you wait 5 to 10 years. The terroirs are predominantly clay-limestone. Winemaking takes place in barrels, 25% of which are new. The end of the ageing process is carried out in stainless steel vats to preserve maximum freshness in the wine.
On the nose, the wine opens with notes of roasted hazelnuts, touches of custard, yuzu butter and a hint of freshly chopped mint. A nose that has everything to seduce from the very first minutes of opening.
On the palate, the wine continues to tell us a wonderful story. Our pleasure is prolonged by a caressing, greedy texture and surgically precise acidity. The finish ends on lightly toasted notes of infinite length.
