Château Cibon Cuvée Marius Rosé from Clos Cibonne is an exceptional rosé, a tribute to the history of Cibonne and to the generations that have succeeded one another at the wine estate over the past two centuries. In this cuvée, which pays tribute to Marius Roux—who was the first to dedicate the wine estate exclusively to viticulture in the 1900s— the iconic Tibouren is blended with 10% Grenache. Sumptuous in its delicately tannic style, it is also one of only two cuvées from the wine estate to revive the historic label from the late 19th century, when the wine estate was still known as Château Cibon.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The Château Cibon cuvée Marius rosé from Clos Cibonne is inspired and guided by the remarkable expertise of this family, which has successfully sustained and refined its winemaking practices for over a century. This is a wine that defies all the conventions of Provençal rosé: the extended ageing in large vats, the phenolic richness of the Tibouren grape, and the maritime depth of the terroir make it an exceptional age-worthy rosé.

The nose reveals a lovely freshness marked by aromas of wild strawberries and stone fruits, accented by spicy notes. It then unfolds with notes of nutmeg and clove, blended with aromas of lily, lemon, pear, orange, and almond.

Easy to drink and pure, this cuvée, with its powerful and broad structure, reveals a great rosé with a distinctive salinity. The same soft, lingering aromas found on the nose are present here, with a very exotic finish of honey and gingerbread, slightly buttery, woody, and spicy, with superb aromatic persistence.
