Wine Description

Domaine De Montille 's Meursault 1er cru Les Porusots is one of the finest nectars to be tasted on the Côte d'Or. It's a premier cru that's still little-known among lovers of great Meursault , and yet it deserves to be.

The terroir is composed of calcareous marl and limestone pebbles, which benefit from being harvested very early to maintain a certain tension in the wine. The vines are located right next to the famous Les Genevrières climat.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The climat Les Porusots is less well known in the Meursault appellation. It has the particularity of a very stony, sunny soil, which produces wines of great amplitude and incomparable minerality. This 2022 vintage of Meursault 1er cru Les Porusots is a wine of great elegance and a certain exoticism.

On the nose, there's an invigorating perfume of fresh orchard fruit and pink grapefruit, white flowers, spicy touches such as nutmeg and white pepper, and great mineral freshness.

On the palate, these fine aromas are echoed in a clean attack, served by a slightly saline acid structure that gives the wine a rich, full body. This wine reveals mineral power and a caressing mouthfeel, all perfectly balanced. A great tasting moment, which is increasingly rare in Meursault.
