The Rully 1er cru Rabourcé from the De Villaine wine estate is a cuvée from a climate located on the highest, warmest hillside to the north of the Rully appellation area, in contrast to its neighbors Raclot and Cloux. The name Rabourcé comes from a Latin term meaning "upside down, backwards".

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The Rully 1er cru Rabourcé from domaine De Villaine is a great success. Its finesse, aromatic complexity and balance make it a 1er cru of the highest quality. This wine has considerable ageing potential, lasting up to 10 years.

On the nose, the wine develops magnificent notes of mimosa and white peach. Generous hints of brioche and poached pear add complexity. A superb freshness reminiscent of citrus emanates from this wine.

The palate is fleshy and energetic. The same aromas as on the nose are present, complemented by hints of riper fruit. The wine is dynamic throughout, with great aromatic persistence. The finish is enhanced by a beautiful vegetal bitterness. A great 1er cru from Rully!
