Domaine de la Sarazinière'sPouilly Fuissé 1er cru Vers Cras is a concentrated, vertical and complex cuvée. The Chardonnay grapes come from the appellation's chalkiest plots. The wine asserts itself in a unique style of exemplary richness and tension. On these steep, well-drained slopes, the grapes from vines averaging 30 years of age display concentrated aromatic profiles and superb acidity.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: This Pouilly Fuissé 1er cru Vers Cras is a fascinating cuvée that demonstrates all the savoir-faire of the Saraziniere wine estate. This is a wine that obviously deserves a little more time, with 5 to 8 years of additional aging required for its terroir to fully reveal itself. Decant 2 hours before drinking if you wish to enjoy it in its youth.

On the nose, the wine reveals beautiful notes of pear, jasmine, gunflint and hints of toast. Once properly oxygenated, it opens with citrus hints of clementine, citron and a light touch of floral honey.

The palate confirms the aromatic expression of the nose, powerful yet delicate. The wine then stretches out and gives way to a minerality that brings a beautiful freshness to the wine. You can feel the potential of this Pouilly Fuissé , which will become sublime with a little time..
