Wine Description

The Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos du domaine Jean Collet et fils is the great cru that occupies the most important surface Chablis Grand Crus. The plot is located on the lower part of the hillside. In the field of organic farming, she has south, South-West exhibition. The work of the vine is done by hand in full and the work of the soil is done by the horse. Winemaking and breeding are carried out in Burgundy pieces for 18 months in order to obtain natural stabilization. In keeping with the natural expression of this wine, handling is minimized.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Great Cru Les Clos du domaine Jean Collet et fils is the cradle of the Chablisian vineyard. It was spotted in the Middle Ages by the winemakers. The term "Les Clos" refers to enclosure walls. They had been built to close the lost plot for centuries. It is the most prestigious terroir in the whole vineyard.

On the nose, the wine delivers us beautiful aromas of fleur de lilies and peach from the vines. We also guess notes of flower honey and a touch of lemon confit. After two hours of oxygenation, the wine expresses even more and shows hints of pear with white wine, chamomile and white pepper.

The mouth is generous and complex. Its material is carried by a crystalline acidity that lasts throughout the tasting. Finishing with very intense mineral notes. A very high level wine that rises among the greatest in France.
