Pradelou 2021 La Terrasse d'Elise | Languedoc

The Pradelou cuvée from the Terrasse d'Elise wine estate is a brand-new cuvée produced by Xavier Braujou. The vines are destined to be used to create the older Pradel cuvée. These young Cinsault vines produce a more fruity and immediate version, a particularly digestible wine with superb freshness. The perfect wine for the summer season, as it's very fruity and explosive.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Pradelou is a cuvée produced on the same terroirs as Pradel, i.e. clay-limestone soils with rolled pebbles. This new cuvée is a perfect addition to Xavier Braujou's range of wines, as he had no wine as fresh, pure and chiselled as this Pradelou cuvée, the XB cuvée being a pure Syrah with a very different profile.

On the nose, the wine opens with notes of redcurrants and fresh raspberries. Then we discover new notes of sage, basil and lemon verbena. The deliciousness of the nose really makes you want to go on tasting.

On the palate, the wine is fine, delicate and incomparably fresh compared to other Languedoc wines. The fruit is supported by a lovely acidity that gives the wine length, a salivating quality that makes you want to go back for more. What more could you ask for, except a second bottle?
