Wine Description

Cuvée Oro from the Peyre Rose wine estate is a blend of Vermentino, Roussanne and Viognier produced by Marlène Soria. It is certainly the finest white wine in the South of France. The wine is aged in vats and tuns, then bottled for a total of 10 years. Marlène Soria, the wine estate's winemaker, is an expert in her field, and her wines are renowned the world over for their assertive personality and complexity.

Philippe Mischler sommelier at Mundovin : Oro is a unique white wine for a number of reasons, the first being the use of a grape variety such as Vermentino, which is very rare in the Languedoc wine landscape, and also thanks to work in the vineyards worthy of the world's greatest winemakers. The vines are pampered and the wines meticulously crafted.

On the nose, the wine reveals hints of dried fruit, apricot, hazelnut and fresh almonds. After a few minutes in the glass, a pretty floral note emerges. A bright, exotic nose, superb.

On the palate, the attack is very fine, with a beautiful exotic fruitiness. The minerality of Saint Pargoire's white limestone lends a vibrant, luminous aspect to the whole. A wine of remarkable balance.
