Wine Description

A micro-cuvée born of the Canzert and Mégères plots in the garrigue of the Gard village of Langlade, Roc d'Anglade 's Anglada rouge blends 60% Cinsault and 40% Syrah, in a refined, gastronomic style totally mastered by Rémy Pédréno.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : This red Anglada from the Roc d'Anglade wine estate has a floral abundance and very appealing fruit, almost reminiscent of the great Nebbiolos of Italian Piedmont. Pleasing from its youth, this cuvée translates over time the elegance and depth of the great Languedoc terroirs that Rémy Pédréno has been sublimating for nearly 30 years.

On the nose, the garrigue of the Gard region literally fills the glass with aromas of thyme, lavender and wild fennel, before aeration reveals an almost "pinotante" framework of burlat cherry, black fruit jelly and fresh violet.

On the palate, the generous breadth of the material is adorned with crisp, fine tannins that provide incredible drinkability. The wine unfurls its flavors of black berries and garrigue herbs to a dazzlingly fresh finish of breathtaking aromatic persistence.
