Wine Description

The Giant Step cuvée from the Ludovic Archerwine estateis a pure Jacquère from the magnificent clay-limestone terroirs of Chignon. The Jacquère is vinified in stainless steel vats and then aged for 11 months on fine lees. Yields are low, reaching 30hl/ha. Ludovic Archer chose this type of winemaking in order to retain maximum freshness, while at the same time bringing great substance to this grape variety, which is now reaching new heights.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Giant Step cuvée is perfectly suited to the spring and summer seasons, revealing great finesse, freshness and a thirst-quenching character. The ideal wine for an aperitif, a cheese-based meal to break up the fat of the cheese, or a nice grilled fish. Production limited to 4600 bottles.

On the nose, the wine offers a magnificent aromatic signature, with notes of fresh pear, quince, almond powder and hints of mirabelle plum.

The palate is lively and bursting with purity. The beautiful aromas of the nose can be found again, enabling the wine to maintain a long finish throughout the tasting. A superb illustration of this young winemaker's undeniable talent.
