Domaine Ludovic Archer's Chignin Bergeron Summertime comes from a parcel of Roussanne grapes on steep, southwest-facing slopes. The terroir is predominantly clay-loam with deep limestone. The vines are located at "Les Châteaux" in Chignin, and have been cultivated by Pascal Quénard using biodynamic methods for over 10 years. Fermentation and ageing take place in vats for 8 months, with a light stirring of the lees to bring out the wine's full body.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The cuvée Summertime from the Ludovic Archer wine estate is a pure creation that invites you to prolong summer in your glass. It's a rich, aromatic wine, underlined by a light salinity and fine bitters. Ludovic Arche wanted to demonstrate that Roussanne can be magnificent on Savoyard terroirs. This wine is extremely pure, with a very intense mineral profile.

On the nose, the wine expresses itself with great elegance. Hints of honeysuckle, jasmine, pink grapefruit and lime zest.

The palate is both fine and gourmand. It is built on a perfect balance of acidity, substance, pretty bitters and minerality. This minerality grows as the wine opens up, giving incredible depth and length to this Roussanne.
