Maison de Champagne Jacquesson, founded in 1798, is a prestigious champagne house located in Dizy, in the Champagne region of France. It is renowned for its long history, its commitment to quality and its unique approach to the elaboration of its cuvées.

It's an exemplary Champagne house, thanks to the two Chiquet brothers. Today, despite the entry of François-Henri Pinault as a minority shareholder, they continue to control the entire process that led them to excellence. The wines have a remarkable level and personality that is the envy of many champagne houses. Even if success is the order of the day, the volume of wines remains under control.

A family heritage of passion and history

In the heart of the Côte Chalonnaise, the history of Domaine de Villaine is rooted in a terroir shaped centuries ago by the monks of the Abbey of Cluny. These pioneers of the Middle Ages were the first to cultivate vines in the region, laying the foundations for a know-how that respects the soil and the living world, a precious heritage that still irrigates every row of vines today.

It was against this backdrop steeped in history thatAubert de Villaine, co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, settled in Bouzeron in the early 1970s with his wife Pamela. Driven by the desire to revive a neglected grape variety, thegolden Aligoté, they carefully selected the most promising plots and set to work. Their patient, passionate work rehabilitated this grape variety, culminating in 1997 in the creation of the Bouzeron appellation, the only one in Burgundy dedicated exclusively to Aligoté doré.

In 2001, Pierre de Benoist, Aubert's nephew, took up the torch. Faithful to the family spirit, he developed the wine estate by exploring new terroirs such as Mercurey, Rully and Saint-Aubin, while preserving a viticulture that respects nature and the soil, close to biodynamic viticulture.

A philosophy rooted in respect for the living world

At Domaine de Villaine, the vine is not just a plant to be cultivated, but a living being that is an integral part of its environment. Aubert de Villaine and Pierre de Benoist share the same conviction: to reveal the soul of a terroir, we must first respect the fragile balance that links the earth, the vines and man.

That's why our wine estates practice organic viticulture , close to biodynamics, without excessive intervention. The work in the vineyard is meticulous and punctuated by natural cycles, favoring biodiversity and soil health. Every intervention is aimed at reinforcing this essential harmony to produce grapes of great purity, which are harvested by hand.

Fermentation takes place in open vats or barrels, often with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of commercial yeasts, to allow the natural signature of the terroir to express itself fully.

Extraction is gentle, with no aggressive maceration or over-ripening. Controlled contact with the skins preserves freshness and finesse, rather than seeking raw power. Malolactic fermentation is often carried out naturally, contributing to the wines' roundness and balance. Ageing takes place mainly in oak barrels, often old ones, to add structure without overpowering the aromas. This long, patient stage is essential for refining texture and integrating wood gently, while respecting the unique character of each parcel.

This philosophy of patience and rigor gives birth to vibrant, delicate and deep wines, which authentically tell the story of the Côte Chalonnaise terroir.

Diversity at the service of expression

Domaine de Villaine draws its richness from the diversity of its terroirs, typical of the Côte Chalonnaise, where each parcel tells a unique story. In the village of Bouzeron, clay-limestone soils mixed with marl provide the perfect backdrop for golden Aligoté, which displays all its mineral freshness and finesse.

The wine estate also extends into the neighboring appellations of Mercurey, Rully, Santenay and Saint-Aubin, where Pinot Noir and Chardonnay find varied soils combining clay, limestone and marl, and reveal their finest nuances.

The mosaic of plots, including several in Premier Cru, results in remarkable aromatic richness and complexity.

A signature of tradition and elegance

At Domaine de Villaine, each cuvée embodies the philosophy of precise, respectful cultivation of a terroir several hundred years old.

In reds, the Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaisewines La Digoine and La Fortune illustrate the finesse and freshness of the Pinot Noir so typical of the region. In Mercurey, the cuvée Les Montots displays all the power and density of Pinot Noir, supported by a rare elegance and intense fruit, true to the assertive character of this cru.

As for the whites, Bouzeron stands out for its crystalline purity and liveliness, breaking with preconceived ideas that once relegated golden Aligoté to a secondary role.

Rully 1er Cru Grésigny, Rabourcé, Les Margotés and Montpalais offer a palette of rich, nuanced expressions of Chardonnay, while Rully 1er Cru Champs Cloux and Cloux embody the delicacy and complexity of Pinot Noir on this exceptional terroir.

Finally, Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Perrières, with its chiselled minerality and delicate balance, is a Chardonnay worthy of the great Burgundy expressions.

At Domaine de Villaine, each vintage is a tribute to the land of Bouzeron, bearing witness to a history that only a passionate family can write with such rigor and humility. Here, the golden Aligoté rediscovers its letters of nobility, and the terroirs of the Côte Chalonnaise express themselves with a clarity rarely equaled. An invitation to savor wines imbued with racy elegance, a faithful reflection of a deeply respected terroir.

The Albert Mann wine estate is a symbol of Alsace's viticultural excellence. It is the very embodiment of the renewal of this vineyard, which is still too poorly perceived by wine lovers.

The Barthelmé family 's vineyards are located on some of Alsace's finest terroirs, including the famous Schlossberg and Furstentum for the whites. Above all, they produce some of Alsace's finest Pinot Noir, with cuvées such as Les Saintes Claires, Clos de la Faille, Grand P and Grand H.

Their mastery of both colors has enabled them to produce exceptional wines. The wine estate was awarded its famous "3rd star" by the Revue des Vins de France, considered the Holy Grail in the wine profession. In 2012, the estate received a second star when it was named Winemaker of the Year. This rewards all the efforts made over so many years.

The Albert Mann wine estate extends over 23 hectares and produces almost exclusively white wines, with around 21 hectares and only 2 hectares of Pinot Noir, making them extremely rare.

All 23 hectares were certified biodynamic in 2013. Today, the wine estate is a model for all Alsatian winemakers and lovers of fine wines in France.

Our cuvées include Pinot Blanc Auxerrois, Riesling, Riesling Grand Cru Schlossberg, Riesling Grand Cru Furstentum, Pinot Noir Clos de la Faille and Pinot Noir Les Saintes Claires.

Domaine Bott is one of the new must-try wine estates in the Northern Rhône. Founded in 2015 by Graeme and Julie Bott, this wine estate is rapidly establishing itself as a benchmark. Julie, originally from the Northern Rhône Valley, and Graeme, who hails from New Zealand, worked for nearly a decade with Stéphane Ogier, the region's iconic winemaker. Their passion led them to settle in Ampuis, where they planted vines in the Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Seyssuel appellations, a terroir in full renaissance.

Domaine Bott stands out for its commitment to expressing the full minerality of its granite and schist terroirs. Syrah and Viognier are revealed in all their splendor. From the early years, they collaborated with winemakers who shared their philosophy, enabling the creation of their first cuvées in Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage as early as 2015. In 2016, they acquired plots on the micaschists of Seyssuel and joined the VITIS VIENNA association, participating in the renaissance of this appellation. In 2020, a new parcel on the granite terroir of Cornas was added to their wine estate.

The first vintages of 2015, 2016 and 2017 were very promising. Since 2018, Julie and Graeme have been harvesting their own parcels with unfailing energy and determination. The soils on the steep Rhône slopes are worked with a caterpillar, and soon Julie will also be using a horse for ploughing. Everything is done to make the most of each terroir and obtain fruit of exceptional quality.

Their adventure began modestly, vinifying in a 16m2 garage, before taking over Didier Cote's cellar in Ampuis in 2019. That year, they also acquired a parcel of old vines in Tupin et Semons, a granite terroir on the Côte Blonde with vertiginous slopes and unique terraces.

Today, the wine estate covers almost 7 hectares spread over five appellations, with vines aged from 5 to 40 years. The aim is to reach 9 to 10 hectares to maintain a human and meticulous management of every detail, from planting to winemaking, respecting their convictions and emotions for precision wines reflecting their terroir. In organic conversion, Domaine Bott is the new rising star of the Northern Rhône, ready to shake up the local hierarchy.

Yves Gangloff is unquestionably one of the finest artisan winemakers in the northern Rhône Valley. He is often described as an artist. His sensibility and inspiration are unique in the world of winemakers, and rightly so. The beauty of Yves Gangloff's story is that it's emotionally charged. Indeed, he started out playing rock and guitar in the village of Condrieu, where he settled in the 1970s. Around this time, the Alsatian decided to take an interest in wine and met Mathilde at Château D'Ampuis. She became his wife and radically changed his life. He became a farmhand at Delas, and at the same time took over a few vineyards in the area to make wine according to his own vision.

The adventure began in the late 80s for Yves and Mathilde Gangloff. They finally decided to bottle their own cuvées, which quickly became benchmarks in the area. They produce powerful yet elegant Condrieu and Côte Rôties .

In 2011, sad and moving news arrived. Mathilde passed away prematurely. Yves Gangloff courageously decided to continue their life's work, with the help of his children Loup and Elsa.

The wine estate now boasts 9 hectares of vines in the finest appellations of the northern Rhône Valley. Its cuvées of Condrieu, Côte Rôtie La Barbarine, Côte Rôtie La Sereine and Saint Joseph are simply extraordinary.

At the foot of the Montagne de Reims, in the mythical village ofAmbonnay, Champagne Marguet has embodied a singular, inspired vision of Champagne wine for over a century. Founded in 1875, the company has cultivated an intimate relationship with its terroirs over the generations, before taking a decisive step forward under the impetus of Benoît Marguet, the fifth generation of winemakers. Today, this family-run wine estate is recognized as one of the most radical and inspiring in biodynamic Champagne, as much for its approach as for the luminous quality of its wines.

A singular vision led by Benoît Marguet

Since 2005, Benoît Marguet has been the driving force behind the wine estate. Heir to family know-how, he infuses Champagne Marguet with a rare rigor and a holistic approach to wine. Sensitive to energies and adept at meditation, he sees working in the vineyard as an art of listening and presence. Convinced that the vitality of the soil and the purity of his practices shape the soul of the wine, he has established himself as a leading figure in biodynamic viticulture in the region.

The wine estate's vineyards are managed without herbicides or pesticides, using only plant-based treatments, infusions, essential oils and biodynamic preparations. The soil is worked by horse, in a spirit of respect for ecosystems. An inspired rigor, never dogmatic, that makes Champagne Marguet one of the most vibrant ambassadors of biodynamic viticulture in Champagne, promoting an unadorned expression of terroir.

Terroirs and grape varieties: the strength of place

The wine estate covers just over 8 hectares, mostly Grand Cru in Ambonnay, with parcels in Bouzy and Verzenay, and a few Premier Cru parcels in Vrigny. Pinot Noir, the king of these chalky hillsides, makes up the majority of the vineyard, complemented by Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.

Each parcel is vinified separately, in old barrels, without oenological inputs or filtration, then aged for a long time on the lees. No expedition liqueur is added, so that only Brut Nature wines are produced, for the most sincere reading of the place.

A collection of precise, lively, racy champagnes

Champagne Marguet's cuvées reflect the purity of their terroir through a style that is chiseled, saline and deeply alive. In Ambonnay, the wine estate has created a series of parcels of rare intensity. La Grande Ruelle Ambonnay Grand Cru explores the clay-limestone depths of the area, while Les Crayères Ambonnay Grand Cru, from a very chalky terroir, vibrates with exceptional mineral energy. Le Parc Ambonnay Grand Cru and Les Saint Rémys Ambonnay Grand Cru each reveal a subtle facet of these lieux-dits, between delicacy and tension.Ambonnay Rosé Grand Cru exalts the bright fruit of Pinot Noir, with restrained power and elegant persistence.

The emblematic Shaman Grand Cru, available in White and Rosé versions, fully embodies Benoît Marguet's philosophy of biodynamic viticulture. It aptly expresses the balance between the power of Pinot Noir and the tension of Chardonnay, in a Brut Nature frame that underlines the wine's straightforwardness. The more exclusive Yuman Premier Cru offers a sunnier, more accessible interpretation, without sacrificing depth.

The terroirs of Bouzy Grand Cru and Verzenay Grand Cru are also magnified in ultra-exclusive cuvées, always in Brut Nature, where the identity of the cru takes precedence over stylistic effects.

Finally, Sapience, the first Champagne cuvée to be produced biodynamically since 2009, is the result of a partnership between Benoît Marguet and other exceptional winemakers. This Blanc de Blancs de grande garde, vinified in amphora and then aged for a long time in the cellar, is aimed at discerning connoisseurs. Its rare version, Sapience Œnothèque, extended aging on lees, testifies to the ability of natural Champagne to gracefully stand the test of time.

Conceived as an aside, Sapience is an extraordinary Blanc de Blancs born of a collaborative project. This exceptional Brut Nature embodies Champagne's elite: five years' ageing on laths, and a meticulous vision of Champagne de garde. The Sapience Œnothèque version extends the experience into an even more introspective dimension, with record-breaking ageing of ten years before disgorgement.

At Champagne Marguet, each bottle is the culmination of a quest for harmony between the living, the soil and the spirit of the terroir. Driven by a demanding vision of biodynamic viticulture, the cuvées shake up the codes without ever betraying the Champagne identity. From the fleshy Pinot Noir of theAmbonnay terroirs to the chiselled expressions of Blanc de Blancs and vibrant, unpretentious rosés, his wines combine depth, energy and sincerity. Benoît Marguet embodies the singular, inspiring voice of a winemaker who listens to nature to make terroirs speak for themselves.

Domaine Elodie Roy is a young, family-run 10-hectare wine estate in Cheilly-les-Maranges that Elodie took over in 2018. Elodie Roy had previously worked at the Anne Gros wine estate in Vosne Romanée, where she stayed for almost 11 years. The family wine estate covers 10 hectares, with the vines mainly located in the south of the Côte de Beaune, on the border with the Côte Chalonnaise. The plots of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligoté are worked with respect for the plant and the terroir, and natural grassing is used.

As a Burgundian, she loves working her vines and winemaking. She also takes care of the sales side of the business, offering tastings to wine-lovers and sharing her passion for Burgundy terroirs.

In the cellar, there are no predefined rules, as Elodie likes to "play" with the percentage of whole-bunch harvest depending on the harvest and the parcels. Regional appellation wines are aged for 10 to 12 months. Village appellation wines, such as Maranges and Santenay, are aged slightly longer, between 12 and 16 months. Finally, Elodie works mainly with the DAMY cooperage and ages her wines in stainless steel vats, new oak barrels or 1, 2, 3 or 4 wines... but always with the right interpretation of what ageing in wood can bring to great Burgundy wines.

Elodie Roy produces 4 red Burgundies: Bourgogne Pinot Noir, Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune, Maranges La Rue des Pierres and Santenay 1er cru Les Gravières.

In white, she produces a Bourgogne Aligoté, a Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune and a Maranges.

The Vaccelli wine estate, located in the Taravo valley in southern Corsica, is a benchmark in Corsican winegrowing. Founded in the 1960s by Roger Courrèges, this family-run wine estate quickly rose to the top of Corsican viticulture thanks to an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion handed down from generation to generation.

Today, Gérard Courrèges, supported by his sister Nathalie, continues this tradition by bringing to light the extraordinary potential of the granite terroirs of Cognocoli-Monticchi, just a few kilometers from the Gulf of Porto Pollo. Thanks to meticulous plot selection and a resolutely organic viticultural approach, Gérard has been able to reveal the richness and nuances of his vines, producing wines with a strong identity and unique character.

This passionate viticulturist has made his mark on the Vaccelli wine estate by focusing on emblematic Corsican grape varieties such as Sciaccarellu and Vermentinu, which he cultivates with exemplary rigor. His method, far from conventional, favorsminimalist winemaking, where each cuvée is a faithful reflection of its terroir of origin. This artisanal, nature-friendly approach lends Vaccelli wines a rare authenticity, making them among the most sought-after on the island.

The wine estate's flagship cuvées include reds and whites of great finesse, combining aromatic complexity, minerality and depth. These wines, a true tribute to the Corsican soil, have won over the most demanding sommeliers and are now featured on the menus of the world's finest restaurants.

The recognition of the Vaccelli wine estate does not stop at Corsica's borders. Indeed, Gérard Courrèges' wines are now celebrated far beyond the island, compared to the finest crus of Burgundy and the Rhone Valley. Each bottle embodies the savoir-faire of a family devoted to the vine, and each tasting is an invitation to discover the authentic soul of Corsica.

The treasures of the Vaccelli wine estates are true "vins d'auteur" and jewels of contemporary viticulture, which today radiate far beyond the Isle of Beauty. Whether you're an enlightened wine connoisseur or a curious neophyte, the cuvées from the Vaccelli wine estate will offer you an unforgettable sensory experience, between tradition and modernity, sea and mountain.

The Hauvette spirit: sincerity, patience and great Provence wines

There are wine stories that begin by chance, and others that feel like a calling. Dominique Hauvette 's belongs to the latter category. In 1988, this former lawyer and ski instructor left everything behind to settle in Saint Rémy de Provence, at the foot of the Alpilles mountains. Surrounded by her horses and just two hectares of vines, which she had bought from her neighbor, a winemaker about to retire, she was already convinced that she had found her calling: to make a living from "working the land", which she considers to be the noblest of professions.

Guided by her instincts and nourished by the encounters that have marked her path - notably with Eloi Dürrbach(Domaine de Trévallon) and Laurent Vaillé(La Grange des Pères) - Dominique has set her course. Without giving in to fads, she chose biodynamic viticulture long before the term was coined, convinced that vines must remain in osmosis with their environment.

Gradually, her vineyard expanded: the initial 2 hectares became 15, then 17, which Dominique cultivates with patience, rigor and finesse. Nearly 25 years later, her demanding approach has made her one of the greatest names in fine Provence wines.

Alpilles terroirs, between stone and light

Domaine Hauvette stretches across the limestone plateaus on the northern slopes of the Alpilles. Here, the rock outcrops, the garrigue scents, the mistral winds sweep through the vines and cleanse the bunches. This harsh, luminous terroir gives the wines their distinctive mineral freshness, far removed from the excessive heat sometimes associated with southern wines.

The grape varieties reflect the richness of the Baux de Provence andAlpilles PGI appellations: for the reds, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Cabernet Sauvignon. For whites, Clairette, Roussanne, Marsanne and a littleUgni Blanc. Each grape variety finds its own unique expression here, shaped by the clay-limestone soils and a Mediterranean climate with cool nights.

Dominique Hauvette cultivates his vines according to the principles of organic viticulture and biodynamics : shallow ploughing, plant preparations, respect for the lunar calendar and hand harvesting. In the cellar, the same philosophy applies: indigenous yeasts, little or no sulfur, gentle winemaking to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Ageing takes place in concrete vats, large foudres or majestic cement eggs. No ostentatious wood, but containers chosen to round off the angles, reveal the purity and prolong the life of the wines.

Every decision is aimed at serving the essential: the sincerity of the terroir, the balance between strength and elegance, and that unique vibrancy that is the signature of Domaine Hauvette wines.

White, rosé and red: the great Domane Hauvette cuvées

Clairette, Dolia, Jaspe: whites that sculpt the light

At Domaine Hauvette, whites are never anecdotal. TheIGP Alpilles Clairette cuvée showcases this Provencal grape variety in its most luminous simplicity: floral, fresh, crystalline. Still in IGP Alpilles, the Dolia cuvée is inspired by ageing in amphorae, and offers a fleshy, deep body, always balanced by great mineral tension. As for the Jaspe cuvée, it unfurls notes of yellow fruit and honey, with an ample structure and racy length. These are great gourmet white wines, capable of ageing gracefully, that contradict all the standards of Provence's white wines.

Pétra: the gourmet rosé

Cuvée Pétra is a far cry from the standard "pool" rosés of Provence. This IGP Alpilles rosé has a bewilderingly deep, almost garnet-red color, and intense, complex aromas. Its texture and aromatic persistence make it an exceptional gourmet rosé, and confirm Dominique Hauvette 's ability to elevate rosé to the rank of a noble, refined wine.

Roucas, Carnelian, Amethyst: reds of soul and character

The wine estate's reds embody the depth of the Alpilles terroir. The Roucas cuvée charms with its immediate greediness, its notes of red fruit and garrigue herbs. More sensual, the blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon in the Cuvée Cornaline is in a different league: a powerful, spicy wine made for laying down.

Améthyste, rare and precious, showcases a pure Cinsault, revealing unsuspected finesse and satiny freshness. In each of these cuvées, you'll find Dominique Hauvette's signature style: straightforwardness, depth and the elegance that characterizes the great wines of Les Baux de Provence.

For 30 years, Domaine Hauvette has been as much a human adventure as a hymn to Provence. Dominique Hauvette has raised her wines to the rank of benchmarks, without ever yielding to the siren song of convenience. True to her vision, she continues to produce straightforward, lively, sincere wines that speak as much of the land of the Alpilles as of the woman who makes them. Her bold choices have made Dominique Hauvette a key figure in the great wines of Provence, crowned Vigneronne de l'année 2020 and 3 stars 2026 by RVF.

The Pouillon family is located in Mareuil-sur-Ay, close to famous Champagne houses such as Billecart Salmon and Philipponat. The Pouillon family have been winemakers from father to son since 1947. Fabrice Pouillon took over the wine estate in 1998. He is fortunate to be present on some of the finest terroirs in Champagne, including a large proportion of the Grands Crus.

Fabrice Pouillon is proud of his heritage and cultivates his vines with the greatest respect for the terroir. He advocates biodiversity, working the soil, protecting living organisms and working with horses. In the vineyards, work is carried out according to biodynamic principles, but without certification so as to retain maximum freedom.

Winemaking is carried out in the purest Champagne tradition, with fractional pressing, and each plot is vinified separately, keeping intervention to a minimum.

Pouillon champagnes come in a variety of cuvées, all of exceptional quality. We start with Champagne Brut Réserve, followed by Les Terres Froides, Rosé de Macération, La Soléra, Les Valnons, Les Blanchiens and finally Les Chataigniers.

A winemaker's champagne that we're now following very closely, as it simply follows in the footsteps of the greatest winemakers like Selosse.

In 1985, Olivier Jullien, driven by his youth and passion, decided to restore the Languedoc's little-known terroirs to their former glory. Born into a family of Jonquières winemakers, he converted the family outbuildings into a winery, and founded Mas Jullien. He immediately chose to invest in the Terrasses du Larzac, high plateaux with varied soils of schist, limestone, sandstone and alluvium, still untouched by reputation. With a pioneering spirit, he energized a rapidly changing winegrowing landscape and encouraged a whole generation to rethink southern viticulture.

From the outset, his path has been marked by a quest for meaning and authenticity: trained in the family vineyards, Olivier Jullien aims to extract from the Languedoc a pure expression of soil and climate. He adopts biodynamic practices and rejects the logic of industrial yields. Each indigenous grape variety is planted where it feels best, with the ambitious aim of defending the terroir's biodiversity. Yield control, hand harvesting, plot-by-plot selection: everything is done to respect the integrity of the fruit and the complexity of the environment. Certified organic until 2006, the wine estate then opted to forgo certification to retain the freedom to modulate its practices. Today, even without the label, its practices remain rooted in organic viticulture and biodynamics, respecting soil health and biological diversity, without commercial yeasts or chemical inputs.

These exacting methods combine technical rigor and freedom of expression to produce wines of purity and depth. The winemaking process favors indigenous yeasts, slow maceration and ageing in foudre or demi-muid, without filtration or superfluous fining. The idea is to reveal, without ever standardizing, over several vintages, the truth of the place and of the native grape varieties: black or white Carignan, Mourvèdre, black and white Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah... and Chenin, an unusual variety in the Languedoc, chosen for its tension and ability to reveal the limestone soils of Larzac.

Mas Jullien is a model in the Languedoc landscape, recognized for having launched the quality wave in the Terrasses du Larzac. Its reputation extends beyond the region's borders: critics, sommeliers and wine lovers alike praise the authenticity, precision and elegance of its wines. Olivier Jullien is also seen as an inspiration for other wine estates such as Les Vignes Oubliées and Mas Cal Demoura.

Among his emblematic cuvées, Mas Jullien blanc features Carignan Blanc cohabiting with a variable blend of Grenache blanc, Clairette, Roussanne and Chenin, bringing tension and finesse unusual in the region. Its delicate minerality, southern aromatic intensity and satiny texture promise remarkable longevity.

Autour de Jonquières is the emblematic red cuvée: a precise, harmonious blend of Mourvèdre, Carignan and Syrah, aged for two years, which combines depth, freshness and aromatic intensity. Carlan, made from young vines on schist soils, stands out for its fruitiness, suppleness on the palate and accessibility in the early years. The rarer Les États d'Âme is a deliberately refined cuvée with a fluid, easy-to-digest profile, born of a partnership with neighboring winemakers who share the same growing ethic. Finally, Lous Rougeos, from very old vines rooted in a high-altitude terroir, offers dense structure, impressive ageing potential and a striking mineral signature.

Each bottle signed Olivier Jullien embodies his philosophy: wine is born of the alliance between soil, grape variety and winemaker. It bears witness to meticulous vine-growing, attentive winemaking and a subtle balance between power and precision, energy and elegance. His approach has changed attitudes in the Terrasses du Larzac, helping to propel the Languedoc to the status of a benchmark wine-growing region. With Mas Jullien, he has highlighted the ability of both white and red grape varieties to embody their terroir, and demonstrated that complexity and ageing potential can emerge where they were least expected.

In the village of Villié-Morgon, in the heart of the Beaujolais region, one name resonates with strength and respect: Domaine Marcel Lapierre. More than a wine estate, it's the symbol of a gentle revolution, led by a visionary man who pioneered the organic wine movement long before the term became a marketing ploy.

It all began in the 1980s, when Marcel Lapierre, then a winegrower in the Morgon appellation, decided to break away from the industrial practices in vogue and embark on natural wines. Inspired by the work of Jules Chauvet, he went back to basics: letting terroir speak for itself. The vines have been grown organically ever since. This decision, marginal at the time, laid the foundations for modern natural wine. When he passed away in 2010, the torch was taken up by his children, Camille and Mathieu, who carry on his father's philosophy with rigor and sensitivity. Under their aegis, the wine estate has acquired an international reputation, without ever betraying the identity of its terroirs.

A heritage of vines and soils

The wine estate extends over 13 hectares of vines, mainly in Morgon, on slopes of pink granite and decomposed schist. These deep, well-draining soils provide the ideal conditions for Gamay to reveal its refined structure and excellent ageing potential. Other plots in the Beaujolais appellation complete this heritage, enabling the wine estate to explore lighter, more gourmet expressions of the grape variety.

A philosophy of respect and high standards

At Domaine Marcel Lapierre, the vine is not a production tool, it's a living being. The vines have been grown organically since Marcel's earliest days. The soil is worked by hand, nourished by biodiversity and microfauna. Camille and Mathieu harvest exclusively by hand, carefully sorting the grapes so that only the ripest are kept.

In the cellar, winemaking is scrupulously respectful of the principles of natural wine. The grapes are vatted whole using the traditional Beaujolais semi-carbonic method, which favors intracellular fermentation and brings out the fruity expression of the Gamay grape. The yeasts are indigenous, and no oenological additives are used, with a tiny dose of sulfur added to certain cuvées at bottling. Ageing takes place in old oak foudres or barrels, allowing gentle micro-oxygenation without masking the profile of the Gamay grape and terroir. This method aims to preserve the aromatic authenticity, digestibility and soil transparency of each wine.

Cuvées of Gamay with an assertive personality

Our wine estates tell a story of terroir, patience and precision. Among the most emblematic, Raisins Gaulois stands out for its directness and immediate drinkability. It's a free-flowing, joyful Gamay that shows natural wine in its most accessible version, while retaining high standards. The wine estate's red Beaujolais, aged with the same care, reveals a beautiful expression of fruit and freshness.

Next comes the Morgon range, which embodies the soul of the wine estate. The Morgon Vieilles Vignes testifies to the depth of the terroir, with an assertive structure and minerality. Cuvée Marcel, produced only in great vintages, pays tribute to the founder through a rigorous plot selection of old vines and demanding winemaking. It's a dense, long wine, capable of remarkable ageing. Finally, the Morgon Cuvée Camille offers a subtle, elegant interpretation of the cru, with complex aromas of black fruits, sweet spices and a silky body that recalls the nobility of uncompromisingly crafted Beaujolais.

A living heritage

Under the impetus of Camille and Mathieu Lapierre, the wine estate continues today with a touching loyalty to the spirit of their father, a pioneer of the organic and natural wine movement. Their equally committed approach combines tradition with constant observation of the living world. Domaine Marcel Lapierre continues to pave the way for a new generation of winemakers who refuse to conform, and who see natural wines not as a fad, but as a matter of course. Through their bottles, a whole section of Beaujolais is expressed with accuracy and sincerity, between an outstretched hand to history and a look to the future.
