Champagne Le Montgruguet from the R.Pouillon wine estate is a cuvée made from Le Montgruguet, a premier cru in the Mareuil sur Aÿ commune. The parcel is characterized by its chalky soil, and the vines are 100% Pinot Noir. This is Fabrice Pouillon 's latest creation, a pure Pinot Noir from an atypical Marne Valley terroir.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Le Montgruguet champagne cuvée is the most elegant and delicate of all the Pouillon family's creations. Like all the estate's other cuvées, it is vinified in barrels, but stands out for the quality of its very fine, not very opulent bubbles. This Champagne is more discreet and precise than other cuvées from the wine estate.

On the nose, the wine offers original notes of fresh raspberries, toasted brioche, licorice and a hint of roasted pine nuts.

On the palate, the wine is extremely pure, with fine bubbles and a highly refined texture. The pleasure of tasting is prolonged by a fine acidity and minerality that give the wine its overall tonicity. A superb 100% pinot noir cuvée.
