In Mareuil-sur-Äy, Champagne R Pouillon & Fils ' Montgruguet 1er Cru Extra Brut is born from an island of outcropping chalk on the banks of the Marne. On this outcrop of pure chalk, Pinot Noir achieves a striking elegance and minerality.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Fabrice Pouillon 's Montgruguet is one of the true Champagnes de lieu, sublimating its exceptional terroir with its pure expression and taut, crystalline style.

On the nose, notes of fresh red fruit burst from the glass with purity. As the wine opens, the chalky, marked imprint of the terroir is adorned with beautiful floral touches.

The palate is taut, chiselled, carried by a saline freshness. The very fine bubbles are perfectly integrated with the frankness of the red fruit, and on the finish exalt the delicately chalky texture of the terroir.
