Wine Description

Maison Marguet's 2019 Ambonnay Grand Cru cuvée is an ode to the prestigious Grand Cru terroir of Ambonnay, located in the heart of the Montagne de Reims. A blend of 69% Pinot Noir and 31% Chardonnay, this champagne perfectly reflects the chalky soils and southern exposure of this vineyard, offering grapes of exceptional ripeness and balance.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Under the direction of Benoît Marguet, this champagne is made according to biodynamic principles, where each stage follows the rhythm of the lunar calendar. The grapes, harvested by hand, are vinified and aged in wood to enrich the aromatic and textural complexity. True to its natural wine philosophy, this cuvée is unfined and contains a minimal dosage of sulfur (12 mg/L), enabling a pure, authentic expression of terroir.

Champagne Marguet Ambonnay Grand Cru 2019 seduces with complex aromas of ripe fruit, white flowers and brioche, mingling with mineral and spicy notes. With aeration, floral nuances of lime blossom and a hint of candied orange zest emerge, enriching the aromatic palette.

On the palate, the attack is ample and silky, marked by a fine tension that structures the whole. Ripe fruit flavors are enhanced by well-integrated acidity, providing remarkable balance. The texture is creamy, supported by fine bubbles. The finish is long, saline and persistent, with a mineral return that prolongs the experience.
