Domaine Pierre André's red Châteauneuf du Pape is a must-have in the southern Rhône Valley. This cuvée is mainly made from Grenache, the king of Châteauneuf-du-Pape grapes, complemented by 10% Syrah, 8% Mourvèdre, and a hint of Cinsault, Counoise, Vaccarèse and Muscardin (vines planted in plots). There are even a few vines in the famous Rayas area .

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The vines are on average 70 to 80 years old, and some are pre-phylloxera; some vines are now approaching 150 years of age, and all come from massal selections. The winemaking process involves whole-bunch harvesting and ageing for two years in concrete vats and oak tuns in the traditional style.

The nose is a festival of complex aromas. Notes of ripe black fruits such as black cherry and blackberry are combined with spicy accents of black pepper, licorice and garrigue.

On the palate, this wine stands out for its silky texture and complexity. Tannins are present and well integrated, offering a bewitching sensation. Flavors of ripe fruit, sweet spices and undergrowth blend harmoniously, creating a balanced, lingering taste experience.
