Thibaud Boudignon 's Savennières La Vigne Cendrée is a rare and coveted parcel-based cuvée from the appellation's emblematic schist plateau, where Chenin expresses the geological complexity of these 40 ares of schist, granite and clay.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: With La Vigne Cendrée, Thibaud Boudignon has created a Savennières of great precision, where the natural power of the Chenin is channeled through a remarkable mineral framework, preserving the tension and energy of the terroir. Definitely one of the Loire's greatest whites!

The nose opens with fine floral notes of acacia and honeysuckle, before gaining aromatic density with hints of candied zest, orchard fruit and beeswax. The mineral, stony presence of the terroir lends incomparable freshness and finesse.

On the palate, the generously dense body is structured by streamlined, sapid acidity. Flavors of citrus marmalade and white fruit are perfectly balanced by saline minerality and herbaceous accents, whose slightly bitter persistence reinforces the balance on the dazzlingly pure finish.
