Bourgogne Aligoté Clos des Perrières from the Thibault Liger Belair wine estate comes from vines planted in 1978 on limestone terroirs in Nuits Saint Georges. This Aligoté is one of the finest on the Côte de Nuits, and Thibault Liger Belair has taken full advantage of this terroir by drastically reducing yields in order to concentrate quality as much as possible. The grapes are harvested by hand, followed by a week-long skin maceration and an 8-hour long pressing. The wine is aged in oak barrels (no new barrels) for 15 months.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : The Aligoté Clos des Perrières from the Thibault Liger Belair wine estate was a real revelation to taste. It's a wine of rare freshness, depth and intensity. It also stands out for the precision of its ageing and its hint of salinity, which brings real energy to this wine. This is certainly one of the finest Aligoté wines in terms of value for money.

On the nose, the wine opens with lovely notes of brioche, popcorn and magnificent hints of Piedmont hazelnuts, acacia blossom and a touch of bitter almond. A nose of unparalleled complexity and precision that only Thibault Liger Belair has the secret to.

The palate is extremely delicate. The balance between ageing, substance and freshness is simply splendid. The wine's invigorating acidity gives it a long finish, with saline and iodized touches.
