Wine Description

Domaine Vincent Pinard's Sancerre Vendanges Entières is the estate's biggest red wine. It reveals a full-bodied structure, great ageing potential and, above all, great complexity. This cuvée is the only one made from 100% whole-bunch grapes, with no de-stemming prior to fermentation.

The parcel chosen by Clément and Vincent Pinard to produce this whole-bunch wine is located in the La Pèlerine area, where the vines were planted some 40 years ago. Yields have been drastically reduced to no more than 25 hl/ha. The aim is to obtain perfectly healthy bunches on which the grapes have reached perfect ripeness.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin: The cuvée head from the Vincent Pinard wine estate is a real bombshell. This whole-bunch harvest is just perfect, the Pinot Noir sublimated by the concentration and insane energy of the ripe grapes. Obviously, this is a wine that should be forgotten about in the cellar for at least 5 years, but I'd recommend 10 years for it to taste perfectly.

On the nose, you can perceive the quality of the fruit and the concentration that the Pinard brothers wanted to convey in this wine. After decanting, we discover notes of leather, black fruit, black pepper and coffee.

On the palate, it's still a little massive, but the overall balance is there. From the very first touch, you can tell that the balance and purity are going to make a great wine.
