Wine Description

The cuvée Pure M of the domain Janc white is a parcellar from young vines of Malbec planted in 2003 on the top of the limestone terroirs in Asteria. These are soils also found on the appellations Saint Emilion and Castillon Côte de Bordeaux. These are very ancient sea limestones of the Oligocene having more than 32 million years give the wine notes minerals and an incomparable tension.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Pure M is the great wine of Malbec of the domain Janc white and one of the south west jewels quite simply. Isabelle and Franck decided to produce this wine in a rather Burgundy tradition while maintaining the natural register of this Malbec. An amazing result that is far too rare because only 2400 bottles are produced in 2018.

In the nose, the wine transports us into the forest, the notes of underwood, humus, fir bud perfectly harmonize with hints of spices and black fruits. A magnificent expression of the terroir brought by this Malbec.

The mouth has a large, fleshy and very juicy material. It feels like grapes have been harvested at just maturity. The freshness and minerality are present and bring a beautiful length to the mouth.
