Trévallon wine estate

The Trévallon wine estate is formidable in many ways. First and foremost, it tells the story of a passionate family who succeeded in founding a wine estate that is now one of the finest in France. In the beginning, it was thanks to the efforts of one man, Eloi Dürrbach, that the Trévallon wine estate was born. The son of a famous artistic couple, Eloi was destined to become an architect. But he soon realized that this was not a profession he would enjoy for the rest of his life. So he decided to embark on a dream: to create a wine estate from scratch.

He began by buying wild land in the Alpilles region in 1973, and then undertook a colossal project to integrate vines into a rocky landscape where thyme and other typical garrigue plants grow. He modified the slope, sculpting his terroir like a work of art.

Eloi Dürrbach is a true autodidact, fascinated by viticulture and the history of the vineyard. It was while researching ancient writings that he discovered that Cabernet Sauvignon was present in many parts of Provence before the Phylloxera crisis. Naturally, he decided to plant it. Then, in the early 1990s, he created his white wine by combining grape varieties rarely found in Provence: roussanne, marsanne and chardonnay.

Today, it's a symbol of success, considered by many tasters to be the Pétrus of Provence. Its red wine is a grand vin de garde combining finesse, complexity and gourmandise. Its white wine is rich, elegant and fresh for the area.

It's a wine estate you can't afford to miss, and it's almost essential to have bottles in your cellar.
