The Gonon wine estate was founded in 1964 by Pierre Gonon, who took over his grandfather’s completely neglected vineyards. He started with two hectares of vines and now owns more than 10 hectares. He is a passionate winemaker who has achieved a level of excellence that few wine estates in the Rhône Valley can match. His Saint-Joseph wines are quite simply the best in the appellation. He practices exemplary winemaking, producing organic wines since 2010.

The wines are entirely unpretentious, offering the most distinctive expression of the terroir. His red Saint-Josephs possess extraordinary aging potential. The whites are becoming increasingly rare and reveal a rich yet refreshing profile.
