Long description
Domaine Larue, located in the heart of the Saint-Aubin appellation in Burgundy, is a benchmark for quality wine lovers. Founded at the beginning of the 20th century, this family-run wine estate continues a rich viticultural heritage, combining tradition and innovation to produce wines of incomparable elegance.
The Larue wine estate is deeply rooted in the winegrowing history of Saint-Aubin. For generations, the Larue family has passionately passed on its commitment to quality and respect for the terroir. This dedication is reflected in the uniqueness and authenticity of the wines produced.
The vineyards of the Larue wine estate are planted on clay-limestone slopes offering ideal conditions for the region's emblematic grape varieties. The estate's 17 hectares stretch from Chassagne-Montrachet in the south to Aloxe-Corton in the north of the Côte de Beaune. This diversity enables us to offer a wide range of wines, from regional appellations to prestigious grands crus.
The vines, cultivated with care and respect for the environment, produce grapes of perfect ripeness, reflecting the authentic expression of the Saint-Aubin terroir. The wine estate offers 22 cuvées: 14 white wines and 8 red wines, with a predominance for the Saint-Aubin appellation, notably through 9 premiers crus that reveal the fabulous diversity of its terroirs.
Harvesting at the Larue wine estate is carried out by hand, and the grapes are successively sorted, guaranteeing a rigorous selection of the very best. Winemaking is adapted to each appellation and vintage, without following an exact science, but respecting the particularities of each harvest. For red wines, the percentage of whole-bunch harvest can reach 60%, depending on the ripeness of the stalks.
White wines are aged in oak barrels for 10 to 18 months, with moderate stirring of the lees to preserve their freshness and complexity. Red wines are aged for up to 18 months, bringing structure and depth. Bottling takes place directly at the wine estate, ensuring optimal quality control.
