The Morey-Coffinet wine estate in Chassagne-Montrachet is the fruit of the union of two emblematic winemaking families: Marc Morey and Fernand Coffinet. Founded in the late 1970s by Michel Morey and his wife Fabienne Coffinet, the wine estate is now run by their son, Thibault Morey, who joined the business in 2000 and took over the reins in 2009.

Concerned with respecting and revealing the expression of these exceptional terroirs, Thibault Morey initiated a conversion to biodynamic agriculture in 2014, obtaining organic certification in 2015. This approach aims to preserve the vitality of the soils and the health of the vines, reflecting a philosophy of sustainable viticulture.

The wine estate covers 8.5 hectares and boasts an exceptional viticultural heritage, including some of the finest terroirs in the Côte de Beaune, notably Chassagne-Montrachet: Premiers Crus such as En Remilly, La Romanée or Puligny-Montrachet: Le mythique Premier Cru Les Pucelles or Les Combettes.

In the cellar, Thibault adopts meticulous winemaking with minimal use of sulfur (SO₂), allowing the wines to fully express their purity and complexity. Ageing is adapted according to the vintage, combining amphorae and barrels of different sizes, with a moderate proportion of new wood to respect the identity of each cuvée.

The wine estate's white wines are distinguished by their aromatic richness, minerality and balance, offering notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus fruit and a fine tension on the palate. The reds, meanwhile, reveal aromas of red and black fruits, with silky tannins and a depth characteristic of the region's great Pinot Noirs.
