The Pique Basse wine estate is located in the Côtes du Rhône Villages Roaix appellation, which is the smallest Villages appellation.

Originally, the grandparents ofOlivier Tropet, the current winemaker, grew fruit trees. Olivier Tropet, passionate about wine, soon became an oenologist and set up the family wine estate at the age of 25. His aim is to make terroir wines with the greatest respect. He knows his land well, having grown up with his grandparents and learned about the environment over the years. The wine estate covers around 10 hectares, mainly in the Côtes du Rhône Villages Roaix appellation but also in Rasteau.

Olivier Tropet has been growing his vines organically since 2009. He loves his land and respects it, which is why he cultivates his vines without any weedkillers or chemical fertilizers.
