Long description

The Roucas Toumba wine estate, or "Rocher Tombé" in Provencal dialect , is a 15-hectare family-run estate in the commune of Vacqueyras. The Bouletin family is part of the appellation's historical heritage, with written records of their existence dating back to 1580. It was only in 2006 that Eric Bouletin decided to set up his own winemaking and ageing cellar. Before that, all the grapes were sold to the cooperative winery.

They quickly decided to grow their vines organically, in order to respect the fauna, flora and numerous birds present in the Vacqueyras area as much as possible.

This desire to live off the land was a revelation for the Bouletin family, who constantly advocate less drinking for better drinking, which is perfectly in line with the Mundovinphilosophy .

And it has to be said thatEric Bouletin is one of the most respectable winemakers in the world, because he doesn't follow the trend of modern marketing, image and communication. He puts tradition and his philosophy of life at the service of his terroir, which is the most important thing in his eyes.

The Roucas Toumba estate is not overhyped or featured in major French magazines, but it is definitely one of the finest wine estates in the Vacqueyras appellation.

The wines are authentic and not necessarily consensual, like the Vacqueyras La Grande Terre and the cuvée Les Restanques de Cabassole, two Vacqueras that are a must-discover as they concentrate all the truth of the appellation. The white is just incredible in its depth and complexity.
