Dominique Cornin 'sPouilly Fuissé Les Chevrières is the wine estate's most resplendent cuvée. The vines are over 60 years old and are located at the very top of the Chaintré hill. It was Dominique Cornin's father who in his day chose this site, which he already considered to be the supreme terroir of the Mâcon region. The soil is predominantly hard limestone , and the vines cut through the bedrock, drawing all their energy from deep within.

Philippe Mischler, sommelier at Mundovin : Cuvée Les Chevrières is a future Pouilly Fuissé premier cru that richly deserves its place. It stands out for its harmony between tonicity, juiciness and great finesse. This is one of the finest parcels on the Côte Mâconnaise. Dominique and his son Romain have succeeded in bringing out all the minerality of the terroir thanks to remarkable work in the vines and cellar.

On the nose, the wine expresses beautiful notes of white flowers, honey, pear and a touch of white peach. After oxygenation, a touch of grapefruit zest and a hint of spice emerge.

The palate is invigorating and lively. This is a wine with flesh and great aromatic depth. The balance is just right between the finesse of the material and the freshness of the fruit.
